I have 99 5.4 with a bad miss. From the reading I have done it is common problem? So I am going to put new plugs coils wires boots in it. What brand is suggested? Anything else I should do as well?

 

There are no wires. I went with the OEM motorcraft plugs, and a Denso boot/spring kit.

I would probably go OEM with coils. They actually look like they come with boots.

Just did a bit of searching. JEGS has a house brand coil for $25 that is made in the USA! Seems pretty awesome:
