Benefits of 20 inch tires
#31
A 20" wheel coupled with a competent on-road summer or even all-season tire, you would experience sharper steering. Even then, you would have to be driving briskly to even notice the difference. Depending on your application and budget, utilizing a LRR highway rib style tire on 20" wheels, you could be more fuel efficient in the fair weather climates. Switching to a 17" or 18" with snow tires in the winter or for off road use.
You will suffer rolling on 20s if you drive on broken pavement or gravel roads. Road imperfections are your enemy, potholes and rocks are very dangerous as there is less sidewall to absorb and deflect the blow. On a flat, smooth road, the ride is fine and handling is sharp because there is less tire squirm with a lower profile tire.
