Cab Clearance Lights

Does anyone know if all New trucks come with the factory clearance light plug-in-connector and if so, where would it be located? The reason I ask, is I'm considering adding the cab clearance lights to my 15 F350. Really would like the factory lights but I hear Recon makes some similar.

The plug is under the driver side kick panel under the steering column. Stay away from the Recon kit. The Ford harness and lights go on so much smoother. I added them to my 2012. Little more work than the 2010 and older trucks but not bad. I have the wiring harness part number if you need it. There are a few to choose from.

Are the clearance lights the same for 2012-2015? Why stay away from Recon light kit?

The clearance lights are the same. The lights have been the same since '99. The harness I used should be the same you need since you have the Lariat Ultimate package. I installed a set on a truck, it was cut and splice vs plug and play. The hardware they sent to secure the lights were a joke requiring a trip to Home Depot and the placement of the screws on the light seemed to want to allow the back of the light to want to sit higher than the front. I can promise you that you will be happier using Ford hardware. I've done about 10 cab light installs for various friends and family. If they say they have a Recon kit, I tell them to find someone else to do it.

This mod is on the docket for next month. Let us know who you order from and how the kit looks.

I want the Ford OEM kit as well.

I have the factory lights. What I want is just an LED replacement bulb. Kinda want to do that for all of the lights that automatically come one when you open the door or turn the key on. Try and take some of the electrical load off the batteries in the deep cold.

I keep finding the entire kit - not just the bulbs. I will keep looking though...

I just changed all of the interior lights this weekend. They sure do make a big difference between the old lights vs the new LEDs. Now I need to change the exterior bulbs.

What bulb did you buy for the interior? and what are you thinking about the exterior. I want a LED bar light in the front - but I also want a moose/bull bar which I should probably get first.

Main problem right now is $$ - I think the best bang for my buck are direct LED replacements at this point.

I didn't change any interior bulbs. Just the cab lights, cargo lights, 3rd brake, license plate and reverse lights
