2011 F250 Windshield Washer Pump Problem
Hi All,
New to the 250, love the truck. Bought used from a dealer about 2.5 hrs away. Washers worked fine on the way home, but now can't get them to spray. I've put new nozzles in, and traced the tubes. I can hear the pump, and when I remove the tube down to just above the battery, I get a very weak trickle of washer fluid out. Assuming just need to remove battery to get access to the pump? Anyone have any experience / diagrams. Was thinking of getting a repair manual, Haynes vs. Chilton's? Thanks in Advance! Great site, looking forward to all the fun!

My washers quit a couple of weeks ago, and I decided to check the system when I read this thread.
I tried to pull the hose off one of the nozzles and snapped the fitting off inside the rubber "T".
SHAME ON FORD!! Why would anybody put a plastic nozzles in the middle of the hood of a truck right above the turbocharger that can run up to 1300 - 1500 degrees during normal operation.
There's no insulation blanket on the hood to provide any kind of protection. I suspect the nozzles melted during a heavy tow with my 21,000 lb fifth wheel in the mountains of West Virginia. Since then, they've become brittle and break when you touch them.
I'll be replacing both nozzles later this week.

Don't have to remove anything when you use the pin; you just do it from the outside on top if the hood.
