punch in the gut

Thanks for the pics. You got fortunate with that one, it could have been much worse!
Couldn't disagree more about that. We pay relatively small premiums for them to assume what could be a huge amount of risk, and depend on them to make things better after something terrible happens. I've always been treated fairly, but I also think I have reasonable expectations, which some do not.
My coworker was mistreated by the insurance company of the lady who hit him a couple of months ago. The claims adjuster simply wouldn't get back to him. After all was said and done they fixed his car and he had two checks sent to his house totalling over $2,000 for diminished value and the rental car they should have gotten for him.

Then we can agree to disagree, although i'd made out fine financially from each wreck I've been in it's left a bad taste in my mouth for the whole insurance industry. Far as i'm concerned they can kick rocks.

yeah I saw that Hellcat.....WOW.....think I saw the starting price was around $60k so it`d have to be a regular SRT v8 for my financial means unfortunately the Challenger is off the table for buying now as the wife`s future car, just not enough room for kids in backseat now plus they hate riding in the back all cooped up so it`ll have to be some sort of SUV type car when the time comes......unless I convince her to drive the F150 daily and I`ll drive the Challenger

hope it gets as good as it was, one time i was in a wreck sideswiped almost hit head on, well they fixed it and painted it only to find out 3 years later all their paint just fell off my truck.. so what looks good after they finish might not stay that way. inspect carefully when picking up.

Skip what you are describing as having had done to you it sounds like poor paint prep. And there is no way to tell that by simply looking at the vehicle.
And cunmud there's an even easier solution for ya. It the Charger Hellcat. And yes Chrysler is going to make them. Even with an optional 6 speed manual. I'd consider one, but my wife can't drive a manual and won't let me teach her. And my general rule in my house if a vehicle is offered with a manual that's what you get, or you don't get one at all. So for me the Hellcat's and Shelby Mustangs are out. Cause me and auto trannies just don't get along. I have tendency of tearing them up.

If you want to check for good paint prep, wait till the paint cures, adhere some Duct tape, then yank the tape off. If the paint comes off with the tape, the paint prep was poor. If the paint stays on the paint prep was probably good. It's kind of scary to do, because you might find yourself driving around with a strip of paint missing or a sticky spot on your paint.
