Bobby, glad to see I could help motivate someone else - I sat on my parts for several months. The reason I dropped the axle was so that I could put the slider material between the leaves. I haven't driven it a lot since the mods, but I am very happy too.


Jimmy, if memory serves, I think the holes in the axle for the kingpin retaining bolt holes (axle stop) can give you a clue as to which way is forward on the axle. Don't remember clearly though. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

I hope so too as I will be in the same position with my front axle very soon!
