My 94 F350 7.3 idi turbo vin K stalled on the way to work as if u had cut the switch off and wont start I replaced the glow plug controller still nothing I also plugged her in over night and still no luck she cranks but does not smoke or shake which is telling me there is a fuel issue however my lift pump is pumping not sure what else to check any help would be great just spent over 1000 on her last month so the shop is not an option
Check fss operation. It is the single wire connector on the injection pump closest to the front of the engine. With the key on you should hear a click if you unhook the wire and reattach it.
how do you know your lift pump is working?
I unplugged it and nothing happened no click however it is showing 12 volts at the wire so does the fss need replacing ? Oh and the wts light will not come on
I know the lift pump is working cause I removed the line at the filter and it shots fuel when I crank it and I installed a new seal on the line which has been on my to do list
You say you have 12v to it, how are you checking? With a voltmeter you needbto backprobe the connector with it hooked to the fss. They rarely go bad, Im thinking more testing us needed.
