The flasher appears to have "6v" printed on it, so it needs to be replaced.

Get the numbers off it. I think the voltage is even stamped on them.
Those are interesting radiator hoses.

My early 50 has the toggle switch to turn the dash lights on and off, I still don't understand why, but it works, as far as I'm concerned it will never be turned off.
