speakers problem

My 2000 limited EX rear speakers is not working like it should some times it shut completely off and some times I can hear a noise like ( shhh sh sh tt sh ) but when I crank the volume up it works fine and the distortion noise just from the right third row seat and it is little noise .
Now I installed new speakers but same problem no change .

And I took all the interior out for sound proofing the EX , I checked all the wiring and connection with no luck to find any issues.
Also the module in the console is fine and the head unit is after market 2din with gps
Any ideas?

We installed a Pioneer in our rig last year when the truck radio died outside New Mexico on the way to Kansas. Real quiet and boring with no tunes. I had problems with eating CD's and a parasitic power draw. After changing the radio the sound was 10 times better with factory speakers still there and we found there were back speaker we never heard. The only down side was losing the mid stereo controls. Our dogs are not allowed to play with the radio anyways so we do not care about losing the mid control panel.

Pop the cupholder on the rear of the center console and look inside. You may have loose wires or corrosion that has caused the unit inside to fail. This unit is what provides sound to the rear speakers.
