Sharpie saves the day!
Figured I'd change the fuel filter in my '05 F150. Seemed easy enough. Popped the old filter out of the bracket, used a screwdriver to release the rear clamp and then tried to use the little plastic tool that comes with the filter to release front clamp. No luck. OK, so what to do? Figured I'd cut the pipe (on filter) so I could see inside the quick release clamp and use a screwdriver or awl or something else to release the clamp. No luck. Now I'm stuck with out a fuel filter and need to pick up my son at camp, lol. Did a quick search and found this video, which was very helpful.

Cut the cap off a sharpie about 3/4" long, slid it over the cut pipe, pressed it in and it released the filter tube right away. Pressed on the new filter and was off to pick up my son on time, lol...
Anyway, going to order the right tool so I have it next time, but figured I'd post this in case anybody ever ran into the same problem and needed a quick fix...
