Been having problems getting fuel lines off filter and off fuel tank,plastic tool clicks in,fitting moves,but won't come off. 99 f250 super duty. Any suggestions?

 

What engine? Is it a gas or diesel?

 

I thought this might help a bit.
There is one type that they don't
show but I have not found it on
the older trucks. They have a button
that you can press in with a blunt tipped
object of with the plastic tool you use on
the other types to release the springs.

5.4 liter, push connect fittings. Did get it off eventually,but seems to take an hour per fitting everytime.using plastic tools,was wondering if tool was getting worn,but could hear it click.

 

If the fittings are sticky you can try to flush them out with
something like WD40. Sometimes they get a bit of dirt and
grit in them and they do stick and fight you.
