Torque Pro App

I recently purchased an bluetooth OBDII adapter and Torque Pro.

When I started Torque Pro, It asked you to set up a profile for the vehicle this will be scanning from.

Is there a specific setting I need to set in the profile to make it work for my 2007 SD truck?

Thank you

Bill

Been a while since I set mine up....I think you just list what truck and fuel you use.

Someone needs to put a tutorial together for Torque Pro....mine is all set up, and works great....but I can't remember how I did half of it!

Sucks getting old.

If I remember right at the home screen you click the menu button on your phone, scroll down to manage extra pids /sensors, pick 6.0 powerstroke and it downloads all the the sensors. Then when you add a gauge you can pick which ever one you want.

One thing you need to do...once in TP, click on your Android settings button. (On my phone and tablet, it's the button left of the HOME button) Click on "settings"....click "manage extra pids/sensors"....click your Android settings button again....then click add predefined set....click on "Ford ( incd powerstroke)"

That will add some gauges specifically for Ford diesels

Thank you so much everyone!

I been looking all over for that extra PIDs and I kept looking in profile or real time setting for it but never thought to look in the Home setting.

I think they should had put it in the profile setting so you could seperate PID for each vehicle your scanning from.

Also it look like I can't create a display readout for each vehicle profile either? I was hoping to create display readout for my Ford 6.0L and a different readout for the other vehicle I owned.

I understand that there are some that work, and some that don't work properly.

This one I know works. It has a crazy blinking light show when it is working, some people don't like that. It never bothers me, if it did, I would stick some electrical tape on it.

I am using the BAFX one from Amazon. But I am getting a faulty adapter message on the bottom of the screen in Torque Pro.

So I sent off an email to BAFX to see if I did received a faulty adapter and may need an exchange.

I have done my homework researching on which cheapo china adapter to get and everyone said if you wanted to go with the China cheapo one then go with BAFX which seem to have the best reviews out of all other cheapo China adapters.

Otherwise if you want a really good one then go with ones at scantool.net but they are pricey and they are coming out with a new one that is wifi supported.

Moneypit started a tutorial thread for Torque Pro over at https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...and-using.html

Use this thread from now on if you have question about Torque Pro app so it will all be in one same thread to share with others.

Thank you

Do you have any lights coming on your OBD bluetooth adapter?

It stopped giving me the "faulty adapter" error message after I restarted Torque Pro and enabled fast communication in the Settings.

So far it seem to be working fine now, it was working even with the error message so probably was a fluke and apps needed to be restarted.
