Have you tried starting it with a 12 volt battery?

Remember, that's in the open air, too. It's under compression and load that an ignition has to perform. What you want to see is a nice fat bluish spark with an audible "snap" to it. You could try cleaning up your grounding points and connections, and the little jumper wire on the dizzy breaker plate.

Besides the disty attachment issue, your connections all need to be checked - that includes the coil and plug wires.

If you have flooded it lately, you may have washed all of the oil from the piston rings. If that is the case, try putting some engine oil in each cylinder. It has worked for me a number of times. I know it sounds lame, but you are about out of options. Just a thought.
