Thanks for picking up our thermostat. The additional pin certainly sounds like a packaging issue. Sending you a PM shortly.

Ok so mine seems to fit closest to this scenario. I can't seem to get the temp over 160+/=. I do have the C92 housing but everything seemed to fit fine. I am going to take it back apart and see if it's seating properly and if not, Drill out the hole or get another housing first.

John, no I didn't boil it because it fit like it should and seemed to seat as designed. I uninstalled it today, boiled it and it did open like it's suppose to. So I reinstalled it and walla, it heats up to 200* and then opens and cools a bit. All is good now. Thanks.

Even though mine is working great I'm actually thinking of picking up the RT1169 housing and putting in on just to say I have it installed per manufacturer directions

Got my Mishi Tstat in today, and took the Ex for a 25 mile drive. With the cruise set at 65 (no real "flat" freeway around me), ECT hovers around 203-205, EOT 208-212. Ambient temp outside is 60*F today. I actually was able to get up to temp without my winter front on the truck. Even with a new 192*F Tstat from the International dealer and my Fia winter front on at 60*F ambient temp, 185*F was my normal operating temp. Got off the freeway and temps dropped to ECT 201, EOT 206 on the surface streets and at stop lights. This would normally give me 170's on my ECT with my new IH Tstat.

Truck sure seems to like the extra 20* of heat, not as sluggish anymore. Put the peddle down, and hold on! Now I'm concerned that towing is going to create too much heat. Guess we'll see.

No need to worry...,

If I'm able to tow this:

(Roughly 11K load, tuned with 8K tow, and Atlas 40) And somehow STILL not get too hot, you'll be fine.

What was the ambient air temperature? My truck is about 10 plus a 12+ 5er behind it with a load of wind resistance may be a different story, especially come summer time. I'm still going to wait for someone that already installed one that tows in the summer heat to post. To risky still.

Well my Airstream isn't near that heavy, I just hope the treck up the Cascades is doable with the truck already at 200+/-*F.

low 80's it was unusually warm for winter...

Temps towing Krazee Matt's truck were 206WT and 216EOT as seen here:

I also towed a trailer full of furniture from The Valley back to Houston. It was 83-85 degrees or so coming back as it's right by the Mexican border. The fan came on once during the entire journey; the truck stayed in spec otherwise.

Both towing situations were around the low to mid 80's towing heavy loads and temps were consistent at 206wt and 216 eot.

Great to hear Chuck, I apologize for the inconvenience of having to remove it once again. Enjoy!

I've had crappy mileage this winter, and fom what I understand in my area the fuel doesn't change to a winter blend.

I came across this thread and after reading the first 30 pages......I was a little discouraged. So I read the last three and have faith it may help me out.

Ambient temp has been hovering 50 degrees today, I've driven mostly in town w some mixed freeway. I hover around 182-184 via my Edge Cts. Once got to 188.

I'm going to order one and in two weeks go on a freeway trip of 1800 miles.

I will post my results.

Did the coolant flush and Mishimoto install, along with coolant filter.

Initial test drive got temps to 200 on highway, as soon as I pulled off it dropped to 198-195, then went up to 198 and hovered there on the back roads.

We'll see how it does on a little road trip this weekend.
