too anyone who installed one,was the silver shaft longer than the stock? Mine is about 1/8" longer and the stat flange won't seat against the housing. been waiting a long time for Mishimoto to get back to me if this is normal or not.
can't see how it would be, as coolant would flow past the stat regardless of temp.

I've only seen a post from one other person who installed the 200° stat and they commented that it was tough to compress the spring to get it in the housing. Kinda was a red flag for me at the time and I intended to look closely...

That sucks. Was that XDP's mistake, or was the wrong t stat in the right box? Mine was longer overall as seen in the pictures, but it doesn't effect the installation/sealing. Although the beefy spring made it fun to install it in the housing.

Well dang! Was it P/N MMTS-F2D-03H? And which part was too long? Was it this

I drilled the housing a little bit and it was better.

To Long
I tried to install the Mishimoto thermostat, and had the same problem. It will not fit in the Ford T-Stat Housing, the dimensions and spacing do not match the OEM.
I'll try to post pics later.

pn# mmts-f2d-03h.
The aftermarket housing wasn't even close. I had 2 old housings (I'm a pack rat) Ford pn# on them. One ended in a 1 the other a 2. went to ford and bought a new one. I think it ended in 1, I drilled the old one's shaft hole a little till it fit.
I think I'll put the ford stat in till I get the new mishimoto one. My ect hit 206* then drop back to 202*. My cooling fan runs enough that I can hear it doing 50.
