no i do not have access to the truck. and i am sorry but what do you mean by sd haha
Would it be more cost effective if i could find a decent set of D0VE or D3VE heads for not much money and buy an intake manifold like a weiend stealth? i have a holley 750cfm carb in my garage i can put on. Also do you know if my engine is a roller rocker setup or flat tappet?

SD is speed density

If you look, price Motorsports has an adaptor to put a carb onto the efi intake. Just leave the injectors and fuel rail on, or figure out how to temporarily plug the injector holes.

The older carb heads will bolt up just fine, but the headers are different also, so those will be different also. If you're creative, you can redrill a carb spacer to bolt to the efi intake.

oh! sorry haha it has a huge mass airflow sensor on the top of it now?

I seen the price motorsports adaptor but how does the stock manifold flow compared to a good aftermarket one? and how much power, more importantly torque, will i lose using a carb on all the stock efi components?
As far as the headers, wont i need to change them anyways when i swap? so either way i will be getting long tubes

Stock efi intake is about like a low rise dual plane intake.
It will be fine up to 425-450hp.
Exhaust ports on the efi and carb heads are different. So if you plan on efi later, it's best to get the headers that fit efi, and then use the adaptor in efi intake. Otherwise you'll be buying. 2 sets of headers later.

You're putting this into a 79, but are you planning on keeping the efi or going to a carb. The efi heads are different and a carb intake won't fit.

from what i can read it says "6090bd" not sure of its significance but its on the passenger side middle by where the header flange is
