Ats turbo questions

I recently purchased and complete ats kit on Craigslist for dirt cheap and the turbo needs rebuilt. I was trying to price whether it'd be more cost effective to have a local shop rebuild it or buy the garrett center assembly. Where my issue comes into play is the ats# isn't on anyone's books so the shop says they won't know a price until its done and the guys who have the unit say they don't know if it's the right one for what I have. The model # is H730441 and the only info I can find says its the same as an 088 turbo. Any ideas if this is true?
Thanks in advance

Its a T3/T4 hybrid. You can buy a rebuild kit and do it yourself for about 40 bucks.
Make sure you mark a straight line from the exhaust side to the compressor side so you have it clocked the right way when you put it back together.
If it has a waste gate, its an 093. No waste gate is 085 or 088.

Ok it defiantly doesn't have a wastegate. Is there any designations to tell the difference between the 085 and 088?

The 085 kit has a hot side housing that un-bolts from the up pipe casting with a typical T3 style flange. It has a rectangular air cleaner that sits cross ways in the engine bay.

The 088 kit has a hot side housing that is an integrated casting with the up pipe slip fitting into it. It had a square air cleaner box.

Here are some web pics to go with that (difficult) description...

First here is the ATS 085

And this is the ATS 088

I believe both of the pics of the complete setups shown are 088's. Mine is the same as the top pic.
If you're turbo looks like the one in the very bottom pic, its an 088.
The problems with these older kits is they're not supported anymore. Look up a guy that goes by Typ4 on here or OilBurners. He has parts for them.

From what I understand, he bought whatever was left of ATS backstock for the idi stuff. You'd have to pm him.

Just out of curiosity, how come you want to replace the center section as opposed to rebuilding yours?

Just to make it easier. And I've heard mixed things on the rebuild. I'm not to sure, I just don't want to screw it up
