77' bmw 302 build

Hey guys, New to the Ford world. I've been mainly a German engineered guy for years but I got my hands on a 5.0 out of a 96 explorer and this bmw for real cheap so I decided to try and make it work. So far I've stripped the car, just a shell without a rear end. Have the 5.0 sitting on the side for now trying to piece together what I need to make it happen. So far I've collected nearly complete motor, 5 speed v8 t5 and bell housing. Rx-7 turbo 2 rear suspension and diff. What I'm wondering is for you guys who have done the explorer swap into different cars, what have you run for engine management? Everything I've read less me to believe a late 80's 5.0 mustang harness and computer with coil, distributor, map, and maf (with other necessary engine sensors) would be my best route. Any suggestions? Also for clutch/flywheel, I know I need the 50oz offset flywheel and what I've read its going to be an 11" not the 10.5". Again suggestions or words of wisdom would be great. Im planning on street driving the car and taking it to autocross events as well. Thanks guys,
Matt
