Problems with my power stroke

Alright guys, I need some help. I have a 95 4x4 7.3 power stroke that this morning after driving it the day before would not start. It turned over but would not start. I also noticed while trying to start it from the down pipe on the turbo it was smoking. Don't know where to start looking or what to start replacing. Any advice, help or pointers would be appreciated.

Welcome to FTE! The best dern place on the internetzzz.

Does the Tachometer move while cranking? It should show around 500rpm if I recall correctly.

I haven't checked the tachometer to be honest. It's a healthy crank though.

On the 95 the tach should move some while cranking, check that. Do you have a wait to start light?

CPS....hmmmm ok well I'm gonna crank it and see what the tack reads. If it does move then I should be focusing on what besides the CPS...the PCM??
