Order of mods

There hasn't been an order of mods thread, and I've been asked a question. So I'll have a crack - feel free to chime in, disagree & say why.

Stage 1 - bolts ons with minimum F250 knowledge/experience:
1.1) Gauges - EGT, boost, trans temp - Scangauge or Edge can also be an option with additional sensors where required;
1.2) AIH delete;
1.3) Intake - AFe, 6637 with cover, AIS (Ford H/D);
1.4) IC boots and plenum inserts (or billet plenums);
1.5) Hutch mod (fuel pickup);
1.6) Harpoon mod if you've got the standard tank (allows easier fill to the top);
1.7) Steering stabiliser (single);
1.8) Fuel bowl military spec O-rings.

Stage 2 - requires turbo off - so a bit more involved:
2.1) IH bellowed uppie$;
2.2) Gen 2 WW (compressor wheel);
2.3) EBPV delete (mod existing or buy delete-pedestal);
2.4) Hi flow turbo outlet (easy add while turbo off & apart)
2.4) HPx (a snack with the turbo off);
2.5) OCR.

Stage 3 -
3.1) 4" exhaust, either 3.5 or 4" down pipe, (don't go muffler delete);
3.2) Trans valve body;
3.3) chip, DP F6 or Hydra;
3.4) FRx

Stage 4 -
4.1) Levelling kit - extra leaves for the front suspension;
4.2) higher rear blocks;
4.3) rims & tyres.

Stage 5 -
5.1) etc, etc, etc

MODS: Hutch,ICboots,plenum inserts,IH uppies,G2WW,HPx,AIH delete,EBPV delete,hi flow outlet,CCV mod,OCR,Zoodad,6637,4" TB exhaust,JW VB,coolant filter,FRx,'05 HD lights with switch bypass relays,B20 ready fuel system(3 filters).Stratos truck seats,rear head rests,LED running lights, 285-75-16s. Gauges:EGTx2,Boost,Trans temp,Fuel pressure,Eng oil temp, Coolant temp, Edge CS, PHP tuner
NOT done: big oil, big brakes, big turbo. Next Mods? None - I'm done!

Maybe put in there chassis mounted trans oil filter , pre and post fuel filters, also HPOP lines and fittings .

many thanks to those that had added this list up

what about for us newby's to the f-truck thing , the bits that are mods , what if you had a link to what is done in the mod or if its a delete , what part got deleted and how ?.
Having this list of mods is awesome as it saves alot of people alot of heartache trying to get stuff sorted properly

Tell us what you intend on using the truck for and we can guide you from there.
Example , daily driver, race truck , show truck, or tow truck?
The mods can all depend on which way you use your truck, so you don't spend money you don't need too.

The f truck will be used primarily for work , towing a tandem trailer , defiantly not a show pony .
Every now and then it will be towing a sxs .
I still want something that goes well with out having reliability issue's as it is my work vehicle .
Regarding the mods , i would rather over-do the mods required for a quick but reliable ride .
The money spent on mods will be a tax write off .

I'm assuming you have an auto, soooo I'd fit a larger trans cooler like this one , Ford 6.0L Powerstroke OEM Transmission Cooler , then gauges , trans temp, egt, boost and fuel pressure and or a ScanGauge 11 that plugs into your OBD11 port.
You'll be able to get a larger cooler here in AUS some where, for half the price.

Then intake , 4'' TB exhaust with a good straight through muffler, and a good chip not a tuner like the SC 1705 .
I like the DP-Tuner (Chip) or the hydra with a couple of tow tunes and a couple of daily drive tunes and maybe hi idle .
If you have any surge problems when towing heavy a WW2 of RR billet wheel will solve this for you.

Always carry spare sensors like CPS, ICP, IPR a fuel pump and a serpentine belt, fuel filter, in the truck just in case.
