How to for PCM to relearn the Drive By Wire system.
My newly acquired 07' F-150 is a 45 MPH truck at the least. The gas pedal is too sensitive at the most slight touch. It is not because I am not used to it, there is acutally something wrong.
So my approach before replacing parts is going to be to clean the throttle plate very well, and clean the MAF sensor. Once this is done, I would like to unplug the battery, and have the PCM relearn the throttle algorithm.
On my 05+ crown vics, this really helps. I just forgot how to do the relearn prodedure.
How is this done?

So, I cleaned the throttle body spotless, and also the MAF. Installed a new motorcraft air filter and reset the battery per the directions. The thottlie is still too sensitive. Any ideas? On your guy's trucks, can you drive 20-30MPH with your foot on the pedal? Or do you have to let off / on to keep it that slow.
