Child seats and supercabs

Since we are expecting an addition to the family any day now I figured I would test out the new car seat for fit and function in my F150. While it does work I noticed that it takes up so much space that which ever seat it is mounted behind must be moved up QUITE significantly. It is this Chico 30 something or other and I was wondering what (if any) car seats others may have used with success in newer Supercab trucks?

I ran into the same problem with my 2010 supercab. My solution was to install the rear facing child seat(not sure of the make or model) in the middle seat position. The "Latch" belt was able to reach both anchor points on the inner side of each outer seat. My daughter is now in a forward facing child seat, but with her little brother expected the beginning ofnSeptember, i will have to move her to one of the outer seats so that her little brother can go in a rear facing seat in the middle again.

Hope this helps,

Q.

It does fit the center, pretty nicely too! A bit of interference with the seatbelt buckles to either side, which will be a concern but its a start.

ha ha... i forgot about the seat belt. I usually thread the latch belt behind the seat belt so that it is still usable, even though it's rare for someone else to be in my back seat.
