Hey guys new to the forums, so hope someone can help me. 05 navigator no start turn key nothing. I've checked everything I can, I'm a ase tech so all basics are checked. Even took pcm had it bench tested, said it's ok. I can jump starter and truck runs fine, but when I drive it it won't shift, speedo inop and a/c inop too. Original cause was the harness from pcm, melted on exhaust, I repaired the wires and still nothing.. only thing I found was my battery is at 10.6 volts so I'm getting a new one. But can anyone tell me anywhere else to look??? Thanks guys

 

when the harness melted maybe it affected PATS? If the Nav has that ...

 

Considering it won't engage the starter nor will it shift, I suggest you test or replace the DTR sensor down on the tranny.

To get help, we gotta understand the problem.

So when you say "no start turn key nothing", are you saying that when you turn the key, nothing happens,, as in it doesn't crank, it doesn't groan, and there is no clicking noise?

Or do you mean when you turn the key, the starter cranks the engine and the engine doesn't fire?

Maybe if you can help us understand the problem, others will jump in with possible solutions.

 

Alloro sorry bout that.. When I turn key nothing happens just a click from junction box on pass. Side kick panel.. The pats seems to be fine. Doesn't flash rapidly when turning key, and when just sitting the light flashes every 3 sec. Like normal.. thanks for helping me out guys.

 

Ah, so! Sounds like the relay is pulling in. I know you said you checked everything, but does that include the relay to see if it is passing power on to the starter?

 

try jumping the starter solenoid???

 

I jumped starter and it starts fine, then when u drive it it won't shift, and speedo doesn't work. And if I put pedal to floor no acceleration... where is the relay your talking about located? Is it in the junction box on pass. Side?? Thanks again

 

I still say inspect/test the DTR sensor.
