1980 l700 weight

I have a 1980 ford l7000, 3208 cat, single axle, has a 10 ft bed with a 2 ft space between cab and bed. bed is all steel. I really just need to know what the truck minus the bed weighs. could anyone give me a ballpark idea?

Several variations exist, mostly wheelbase with yours. This guy says 13,000 "curb weight", which I would think he would claim based on a scale reading, since he has run the truck for a while:

small dump trucks for sale | single axle dump truck | Ford LN7000 | Ford 7000 For Sale

I would have guessed a little more, as our aluminum bodied MT45s and MT55s are 10-12000 empty.

For a cab and chassis with that engine, I would have guessed about 13,000 for the truck you describe. Your engine is heavier than the above link for one.

You'll only really know when you roll it over a scale.

thanks for replying, that is close enough for me! I had to get it hauled and needed just a ballpark to see if the trailer could handle it.
