OIL winter F150 2006
Hi I am a new owner of a Ford F150 -06, imported to Sweden from Carlifonien.
Is it a good choice to use Gulf Ultra Synth X 5W-20 engine?
Only a dealer that sells Motorcraft in Sweden and it is far from me. it is also very expensive 1 quart = 20 Dollars
It is not impossible that it will be -5 degrees Fahrenheit,
Grateful for info.
Sincerely
Martin Berglund

EDIT: BTW, Welcome to FTE.
This link is to a Gulf recipe/formula that meets Fords specifications & would be a direct replacement for the Motorcraft 5W-20 for your F-150. http://www.nu-tierbrands.com/images/...FE_08-2013.pdf
It has a low cold temperature viscosity that should offer easy starting in cold weather.
Post a link to the Gulf product data sheet on the formula you named above, or select a product number from this link Engine Oils - Gulf Lubricants & we can look it up to see if it'll meet the specifications for your 06 Ford F-150 engine.
