Looking to buy one, and I know our trucks have very large pitman arms. Wondering what you guys are using ?

And a pickle fork. I have not encountered a pitman I couldn't remove since switching to this style of pitman arm tool.

 

I have a MAC adjustable pitman arm puller. Fits them perfect, but thinking I need that tool CO425

 

I've never pulled the pitman on my dent but I'll comment based on other pitman's. I use a larger ~8" two jaw Sears puller. Back the nut off but leave it on loose to catch the pitman arm. Install the puller and tension it up well. Then give the shank of the puller a good wrap with a hammer. Has always worked for me.

 

I just bought a large pitman arm puller from the parts store, but I had to loosen the bolts on the steering bear box to get it into place.

No but that will do the trick and its a fair price. (For a Snap On)
