I would first pull the valve cover on the affected side and take a look at the valves for that cylinder. Could be one of the valve keepers came off allowing the valve to drop into the cylinder. If everything looks ok on the top side then get your self one of those cheap harbor freight inspection cameras and have a look in the cylinder to see what happened. They're only like 60 bucks with the coupon and come in handy very often, you can even practice your gynaecology skills with it......lol.
If you don't find anything up top or in the cylinder other than a marked or broken piston then it's time to pull the pan and look at the rod cap. If it came loose then that rod can travel further up causing the piston to slap the plugs and valves. Did you do a proper break in of the engine? How was the oil pressure? You could have lost a rod bearing during break in which would allow the piston and rod some extended reach.
What plug number and brand were you running? Did you play with the cam timing when you built it?
I would put my money of spun rod bearing allowing excess rod travel and longer than normal plugs.

Ya have got to pull the head anyway, so just do it and let us know what ya find.
Unless there is still a warranty on it. Than don't touch it. Just have the engine builder
deal with it. If ya open it up any farther than pulling the plugs it will void any warranty.
And just pulling the plugs may well have done that already. They can and will use any excuse to void it if they can.

The sparkplug is a champion C59YC .45 gap the one recommended by the engine builder. Bought the engine turn key from Jegs. I haven't pulled heads hoping for warranty. Just contacted Blue Print engines today so far so good very nice people. The motor is seized cant turn it over at all. Bad thing is I am in Northern Canada and shipping engine will cost me 600 bucks so hopefully they will let me take it apart and send detailed pictures try to diagnose that way. im sure that piston is done found 2 pieces of what I think is a valve in the intake under the carb.
Colour of the truck is Dead Rat Flat Black single stage.
Anyways which me luck on the warranty ill try to keep post updated with progress.
