Or simply a output not an input.
So ipr is what the pcm is requesting, Icp is the input to the pcm of what the ipr is doing

IPR screen
Okay so I pulled the IPR valve and the screen is completely intact with no derbies present. As I mentioned before I have an IPR controller so I used it to check the IPR valve and here are the results:
I feel a click when power is applied to the IPR valve but nothing actually moves, I have an old IPR valve that I had previously removed and it does the same thing. I can feel a click but don't see any movement at all.
Is the spring suppose to compress when power is applied via the solenoid in the IPR valve. The click I feel has no corresponding valve movement.
Has anyone bench tested an IPR valve and the spring moves to open or close? Is the valve closed when no power is applied or is it open until power is applied? Either way I don't think the click I feel from the solenoid was enough to actuate anything.

Is the screen sucked in?
Ive only ever felt the click when activating them.
Theres not many things I can think of that would cause a surge that would be great enugh to overpower breaks.
Leaking fuel, or oil in the cac or the other 2. But with those you should ses smoke from the tail pipe.

The screen was perfect. I also ohm'd both IPR valve they both has 6.8 ohms

Unfortunately, You Tube besides FTE has become my other best friend trying to diagnose my issues. Just cleaned the EBP tube and sensor and will see if that helps spool up my turbo.
In the meantime, I saw this video about no movement of the IPR valve with power applied. I do think this guy is one of the most informative out there.

I have had IPR's hung open with a perfectly intact screen. Remove the screen, take a 1/4" diameter screw driver and push the plunger in toward the solenoid body. While pushed in, flush it out with brake clean and compressed air. You should hear just a little air go through the valve when air is applied from the end under the screen. I have had 2 hung open with intact screens. Cleaning seems to work just fine. A new screen kit is available separately.

HPO air test and IPR valve
Ok, finally got back into the truck. Removed valve covers and ICP and performed an HPO system leak check and it is still tight with no leaks from the new injectors, HPO rails, nipples ETC. The IPR valve was controlled with a IPR valve controller and when commanded closed it secured the air to the system as it should so does that mean the IPR valve is Good?
This test should have eliminated HPO system leak and a bad IPR valve right?
Can an IPR valve be bad but still be commanded closed with a controller but not work whe attempting to start the truck?
I also performed a Bottom O-ring check of all 8 injectors since I was in there after viewing some other thread on here about those o-rings and they were good.
Hopefully I can get the link for the video of the test working.

HPOP test
Decided to test my HPOP:
Valve covers and off and everything is connected. IPR valve is installed with a controller to close it. (FICM, FICM relay and fuel pump relay is removed)
Cranked motor and closed IPR valve and observed oil coming from the ICP port where I had left the Air test fitting connected to a cut air hose. It didn't flow at 3000+ psi as the system isn't closed with the air hose connected but it shows the HPOP is moving oil.
Any thoughts?

Neither the controller or the 12v can verify the ipr is fully seating in the closed position..... that said ive never tested that theory. If I suspect I have a bad one I would just swap a knowen good.

Decided to test HPOP pressure using a 5000PSI gauge bought at Harbor Freight for $11 and it screwed into the same fitting used for the HPOP air test. (Link #1)
Link #2 shows cranking with the IPR not commanded. No pressure registers
Link #2 shows cranking with the IPR commanded and Pressure gauge shows 4000psi.
I guess the Pump work (would this suffice for a Dead Head Check of the HPOP?)
Any thoughts? Ideas?
