Do you see the blue line with User CP, Albums, FAQ? See the search on that line?
It has a drop down search menu arrow, go to the "Advanced Search" option, type in there say "blab la bla" and then go to the lower right column and high light 73-79 forum. Select it and then you will have a detailed search just in the 73-79 forums.

Hours of reading lay a head of you.

Pics to post, 1. become a paying supporter and its real easy, or grumble thru a "photobook' site and or try this below, you are techie.

Here's How to Post Pictures:
1. Login to FTE.
2.Click User CP (In the Top Left Hand Corner)
3.(On the Left, There will be a list, The 5th Option Down, will say "Pictures & Albums) Click That.
4.Then, Click Add Album, Enter a title, and description, if ya want to.
5. Click Upload Pictures, Then click Browse, Locate the Files of your truck. (You can add 3 files at a time)
5. Click Upload.
6. Add a description to the individual pictures, then click save.
7. Add more files if ya want.
8. Click The Picture you want to post, it will give you two codes at the bottom, Right Click The Second one (It say's BB Code, Then Say's [IMG]http:blahblahblah...[/IMG])
Then, Once that is highlighted, Right Click, Then Copy, Then Paste it into your post.
You can add up to 30 Images in one FTE Post.
I'm not absolutely certain but I think this method of posting pics is no longer viable. Just use the "insert image" icon at the top of the posting box. It will let you choose where to get the pic from and then let you insert it into your post.

I would never know I have not had to use it, I do not get to drive my trucks that much (always gone working OTR) so I have the spare gas money to be a paying supporter of the site. So I have a easier way to post pics.

Thanks for the heads up just the same.

Does it matter?

I understand if you are just trying to verify something told to you from the Original Owner. But it sounds like you have a cool truck so having a Hi-Boy is just a nickname for a platform. Don't sweat the nicknames, just enjoy your ride! If it's any consolation, I have a Hi-Boy and I'd rather have your gearing in the 100! Take care.

I like this definition best.

According to THIS THREAD, it appears that Highboys were made to at least serial number 25209.
