351w engine build advice

I just bought a '96 F250 with stock 351w and auto tranny, it had a blown head gasket but that has now been fixed. I am wanting to put the engine tranny combo in my 1970 F100.

I have a set of worked GT40 heads and the upper and lower intake off of a '93 Ford Lightning. And a set of long tube headers.

I'm probably going to punch it out .030 when I build it.

My questions are:
1. How much trouble is it to swap the EFI wiring harness to single throttle body and were could I get the info to do it myself.

2. What cam should I go with?

I'm wanting the HP and torque to be equal to or better that a stock Lightning. Thanks for all the input and advice.

There is no need to change the wiring harness for that intake, you may have to change the connector for the TPS, maybe lengthen and/or rearrange a few wires but that's about it.

Personally I wouldn't use that efi setup, its going to be speed density efi and doesn't like many mods. you could get a mass air setup from a mustang and have a far cleaner install in my opinion. great motor though, I wouldn't go punching it out unless its necessary. upping the compression though will help improve power.

You'll need the throttle cable and bracket from a Lightning as well. If you plan on keeping the EGR, then you'll need the EGR spacer and valve from a Lightning. You'll also need to plumb the coolant through the spacer, from the back of the lower intake to the radiator filler neck.

When you get ready to put this combo in you're F-100, I'd recommend using an aftermarket EFI system for the engine and a stand alone transmission controller.
