I shall weld it back together, tomorrow and get it back on. Looking forward to getting her back on the road.

Thanks again to you all and especially Cheezit, once again. Case closed

Here's a better copy of the operating values list.

Might be a little late, but I use a propane torch on the pipe. It swells it up enough the pipes slide right apart. Before that I pulled on them until I felt stupid.

Cheers. I did put some heat on it and then got a bigger hammer lol. It's all welded back together ready to go back on tomorrow. I have cleaned it all up and it's all shiny, so should go back in easier than it came out.

Truck is all sorted and running great, however it is still showing a pending code P2262, which was the original code. I cleared it and it comes back immediately, so I am a bit confused by that. EBP, Baro and MAP are all within 0.5, EOT and ECT are within 3 or 4 degrees of each other and between 190 and 205 (ambient temperature was 94F)

The other thing that's confusing me is the voltage. On the Scangauge it's showing 0.3 volts less than my dvm on the battery terminals. Dvm reads 12.8, key off. With key on and glowplugs on, it reads 12.12 but Scangauge only 11.8 - which I believe is a bit low. It's a decent meter, not a cheap one. I put a cheap analogue meter on to verify and that concurs with the dvm. Has anyone else had this discrepancy with a Scangauge?

Cheers

Andy

Scan gauage is picking up voltage from the dlc. It will be a little different then hooking a dvom up to a battery.
Ebp, map and baro should be with in 0.5psi koeo. They should all read around 14.5 psi.

Pull and check your egr valve for debris and varify its completely closed. Next step is varifing you have no boost or exhaust leaks. After that pull and clean turbo thats my best guess at this time.

Hi Cheezit,

Readings are all spot on and I guess the voltages are ok. I checked everything when I was trying to find the initial problem. The truck is running perfectly.... Should I be actually looking for a problem or wait and see if the code clears?

Plus for that code certain parameters need to be met, including being over 2800 rpm. If I clear it at idle, how can it come back immediately?

If you're using the ScanGauge to clear codes, even something straight forward like a glow plug won't clear unless you shut truck off, turn key to on (no start), clear code, then start truck. Sometimes depending on the code, you even have to turn key off after clearing and then crank/start.

Thanks Rusty... again I shall try it tomorrow (it's 11pm here). I think it must be some operator error on my part due to the code persisting when the parameters aren't being met.

If all else fails pull cables off the batteries.....wait 10 minutes and re-install. Everything will go to the re-learn process.
