Add new exhaust to '94 PS Diesel
Will there be any problems adding a 5" Diamond Eye exhaust to the '94 7.3L Power Stroke? We have researched to find that the engine is too old for the new emissions requirements such as EGR and DPF. Is there anything else that we are overlooking before changing to a bigger exhaust?

5" is going to be VERY tight and a waste.
You only have a 3" outlet out of the turbo and the down pipe is a 3"(all you can fit without cutting and dog housing the firewall.
SO anything bigger than 4"(not to restrict at the bends) is complete waste
I recommend Flo-Pro 4" stainless system
And stay away from MBRP

I took it off, threw it is the scrap pile and bought the Flow pro stainless kit for LESS money then the MBRP aluminized kit.
I have no clue on SD fitment

It fit like complete crap. I did the typical firewall mod for the DP, bit is LAID on the floor. I also had to remove the passenger crossmember brace and NOT reuse it.. Next was EVERY hanger had to be modified to work. Then the tailpipe hit the rear spring.

You have to remember, the truck was designed to have 3" exhaust. And there were clearances made for such. You do away with all the clearance with a 5" exhaust

I put the Stainless Steel "Diamond Eye Exhaust" Turbo back 4" on mine. It fit very well and I got it for $320 bucks shipped to my door. Every hanger worked just fine with no mods needed to them. I had to cut to make room for the downpipe and You need to remove the catalytic converter mount( mine was a delete kit) and the rear fuel tank strap needs the excess hang over on it trimmed off. I still need to do this I can hear it rubbing. If I knew I could of cut the muffler unit just a bit to move it forward an inch or so I would of done it also.
Definitely should of done this 5 years ago.
