Well I own a 94 7.3 L turbo diesel. The truck was in AZ for a long time and it is now in NC. It made the voyage no problems. I have had it for about a year now. I have one issue that makes driving it a problem. I used it to haul some horses and when I came back and unloaded the trailr the problem stayed and has not since gone away as in future situations. No engine light is present. Only light is the O/D flashing. I was told possible solenoids.... ? The current problem as of now is that when I first start it, it will go but I feel like I need to push the peddle to the floor. Then is will suddenly shift. Now it is more like I have to let go of gas for it to shift. I did this for a bit, now it wont respond to this either. It just revs high and either it will go about 50 mph or 30 mph. What should I do first I need my truck ?

 

If the OD light is flashing, you have a trans code. Take it to a good trans shop and get it scanned. If you continue to drive it this way you will for sure need a 2k trans rebuild.

 

yes that is why I have stopped driving it and at the moment I don't have a trans shop I can take it to for diagnostics. I am a bit broke right now. I am just hoping that maybe my friend who is a mechanic can help me if I bring some ideas to the table and help. thanks.
