I did too, within a coupla days after buying my new '65, which was Wimbledon White with white wheels and white dog dish innie hub caps.

I also got rid of the dog dishes, replacing them with NOS 1952 Packard full wheel covers.

Hilarious. I believe the question should really be "what color RED has the body been painted?". Doesn't really look Rangoon to me, in the photos posted.

Rangoon looks great with Wimbledon White. Other brighter whites may look better against a different red paint job.

Were any other red colors offered in 1966 besides Rangoon? Truck shop manual indicates only one red body color.

Yup. My '66 is poppy red. Looks closer to orange.

So what do you think these two are that I found within 4 miles of me?

If... they are still in Ford paint... the top two are Poppy red, the other Rangoon red. Mine looked like the "orange" one you show when I got it, now looks more like the one to the top left after a day-long cut polish.

My Poppy red '66 has a colour code "J". I think my friend's Rangoon red '66 is also a "J" but the truck is out of town so I can't check.

Adding more from my previous post. From '64 thru '66, the standard ( whites ) was Wimbledon White or Pure White. Corinthean White was no longer used past '63, Colonial White was no longer used past '59, unless special ordered. '65 was the first year for " white" innie type hubcaps on pickups and the only "white" used for "white" innie type hubcaps was Wimbledon White. The mystery to me is the use of the Wimbledon White vs. the argent silver innie type hubcaps for '65 and '66 pickups. It has something to do with exterior paint color and or paint scheme, but have never seen any painting documents from Ford about the colors of hubcaps used on '65-'66 pickups with innie type wheels. This is a tu tone '66 F 250 with the Wimbledon White hubcaps and Rangoon Red letters.
