3.73 gear kits?

Anyone know where I could find a good 3.73 gear kit for a reasonable price?? I have 4.10's and want to get 3.73 for better mileage.

They dont make them for the sterling 10.25. It is either 4:10 or 3:55

Never heard of any one on here with 373. Unless they swaped a super duty axle in there.

Going from 4.10 to 3.73 you will not notice enough difference to talk about.IMO 3.55 or 4.10 . 3.73 is just half baked not good at towing like 4.10 and not economical like 3.55...

You care about mileage and yet own a huge, old diesel truck?

Sound logic right there

On the way back from rre I got 22mpg from my lifted cc 4x. Why not have the best of both worlds. But with 3,55 s when I have 10k behind me I know it.and my converter hates me lol

Worrying about mpg in a truck is like worrying and the tow rating on a Prius. Lol

I went from 3.55 to 4.10 and wouldn't go back. Driving like a sane person I only lost 1-2 mpg. Plus the 3.55 nakes theses truck a old dog on take off

I just did the 410 to 3.55 swap in my 97 cc 5sp. I do not tow anything much with that truck, and so far I am very pleased with it. Before at 65 in 5th I was at 2200rpm now its 18-1900rpm at 65 2200rpm is around 75. I like the 3.55's way more for interstate driving, I know that!!!

Again, this whole concept is pretty silly. If you don't tow, and want good mileage why don't you do this... Buy a $2000 honda civic as a DD and get 34-36 mpg. That's what I did in college, saved me alot of money. Fuel savings paid for the whole car in the span of only 1 year.

I only drive my truck as my DD now because I'm always traveling and need something to carry my big mac toolbox along with my other ****.
