3.73 gear kits?

Anyone know where I could find a good 3.73 gear kit for a reasonable price?? I have 4.10's and want to get 3.73 for better mileage.

They dont make them for the sterling 10.25. It is either 4:10 or 3:55

could the 3.73 have been special ordered back in the day?? my brother says he had them in his 96 f250.

Never heard of any one on here with 373. Unless they swaped a super duty axle in there.

Going from 4.10 to 3.73 you will not notice enough difference to talk about.IMO 3.55 or 4.10 . 3.73 is just half baked not good at towing like 4.10 and not economical like 3.55...

On the way back from rre I got 22mpg from my lifted cc 4x. Why not have the best of both worlds. But with 3,55 s when I have 10k behind me I know it.and my converter hates me lol

Worrying about mpg in a truck is like worrying and the tow rating on a Prius. Lol


I went from 3.55 to 4.10 and wouldn't go back. Driving like a sane person I only lost 1-2 mpg. Plus the 3.55 nakes theses truck a old dog on take off

I just did the 410 to 3.55 swap in my 97 cc 5sp. I do not tow anything much with that truck, and so far I am very pleased with it. Before at 65 in 5th I was at 2200rpm now its 18-1900rpm at 65 2200rpm is around 75. I like the 3.55's way more for interstate driving, I know that!!!

Again, this whole concept is pretty silly. If you don't tow, and want good mileage why don't you do this... Buy a $2000 honda civic as a DD and get 34-36 mpg. That's what I did in college, saved me alot of money. Fuel savings paid for the whole car in the span of only 1 year.

I only drive my truck as my DD now because I'm always traveling and need something to carry my big mac toolbox along with my other ****.
