Lookig at getting this old truck (for free) and wanna make sure itll fit on my trailer. The guy gettig rid of it and myself are both about 1hr and 1/2 away from the truck so i wanna make sure before we both make the trip.

It is a 1963 step-side f-100. Looks like it may have bigger wheels and tires. I know it hard but if you have a truck you can measure just to give me an idea its be appreciated thanks. Here are a couple pictures

I put a 95 F150 with 235/75R15 tires on stock rims onto a uhaul trailer.

It barely fit, width wise.

Im guessing that this one is to wide.

Do you have a spare set of wheels you can take with you?

My 64 with 15x7 wheels, 4in BS and L78 15s is right at 72 inches.

Sounds as if you will be ok.

Even if you take one spare tire with you, that will give you a few inches extra if the front tires will not squeeze by.

Hello fellow navy man I was a Structural Mechanic also, 6 years Navy, 2 years and 2 cruises on the Kitty Hawk CV-63 (decommissioned in 09) and 4 years shore duty. That was during Nam, we had a lot of work to do on the aircraft when they returned from flight op's. I worked in the air frame shop. I worked on all the fighter jets and helo's of the day.
I have huge tires and rims on my 65 the tires are 30,5 X 15 real wide and it fit on a normal flatbed rollback with room to spare

Home safe and sound

Well here she is picked here up not exactly as described but still 110% stoked on it.

Not an F100 definitely an F250

Not normal "offroad" tires, 37x16.5 military oz humvee goodyears on steel wheels haha.

has a 302 carbbed V8 from an 87 something or other, pretty cool IMO

Other than that shes sound, california truck not a rust hole on here even the bed wood and metal slats are in good shape. seat doesnt have a rip in it though the rats stole all the cushioning and put it in the heater box hahaha. will post up more pictures in the following days may even start a build thread. And of course the best part it was
FO FREE!!

WHAT! Those mirrors arent factory.....thats it to the crusher she goes.....

The best part about it all in my opinion is the metal strips that hold in the wood bed are all there, not bent or cracked.
