I need a bed

(fomoko said today that we can post want ads here....)

1987-96 fleetside 8ft bed, 2 tanks. blue preferred, then black then any other color. rust free or minimal please...(which rules out about anything north of the mason Dixon line....)

My 90 had an incident...its no longer worth it IMO to weld on patches...

anyone ever ship one distance? forward air? u ship? I am in NW PA.

Dales Body Shop
528 Edgewood Drive
Deer park MD 21550

301-334-9661

He goes all over the south and west buying clean, rust free trucks/parts.
He then brings them back to his shop in MD

Give him a call, he has the bed you are looking for in stock
Just keep trying, because he is on the road all the time

You have clean trucks on every corner. No need to have anything shipped to you.

Hell, go to the scrap yard. I see guys CONSTANTLY scrapping perfectly good trucks out there. Where do you think a lot of his parts come from

It can carry on the overall condition and demand/supply

A PERFECT long bed is about 2000
A PERFECT short bed is about 1500

I think the CHEAPEST one you will find from him is 800

You can deduct from those prices for any body damage. And he is MORE than fair for telling EXACTLY what it needs. NO SURPRISES with Dale

Must just be my luck of when I get there. There are two types of guys at the JY's here. The guys who bring the right tools, and do the job right. And the guys who take a Sawzall and rip through the fender, refeigerant lines, and cut anything else they need to gain easy access to that covered set of Doug Thorley headers. ******* literally started a small fire. But I did snag the EO sticker from the truck so he can't smog it legally without it. I got the last laugh.

Dale deals with REAL junk yards. The places where THEY pull the parts and the average Joe is NOT allowed in the yard to destroy everything in their path of the part they want

the 'forgotten generation' (87-96) are getting hard to find as they were the most hit by CFC and high scrap prices. I do not joke when I say I can get 78 highboy parts easier than my 90. But he wants 1400 for a perfect rust and dent free bed in one of my blues (truck is 2 tone, going single tone)

However, my neighbor has an 88 ext cab long bed 4x4 sitting there...gonna ask how much for all of it, cut 'er up perhaps?

You think its bad there? I live 85 miles north of the border. So I know how you feel, multiplied by about 50. Hell even 1/4 of the trucks at the yards wreak of ethnicity.
