Who is the AOD know it all to call?

I would think there is a application for a constant pressure valve body out there somewhere, but for a daily driver I think it would make the engagements brutal and the Chick Fil drive through interesting.

Any progress on this?
I will agree with jk080, it sounds like the TV pressure is too low. I never guess and always install a gauge on the TV port to test pressure, this is especially important when setting up an aftermarket TV cable and linkage on a cart set up.
jk080 makes some good points about the valve body and shift governor. you want to make sure you have the correct shift governor for your application and axle ratio. Ford offered 3 different governors, all are obsolete now, but you can find them on Ebay sometimes.
E8ZZ-7C063-A - high speed - 4800 RPM shift - used in Mustangs and Lincoln mark7 with HO engines
E2AZ-7C063-B - medium speed - 4500 RPM shift - used in most EFI trucks and V6 Mustangs
E8AZ-7C063-A - low speed - 4200 RPM shift - Used in Crown Victoria/grand marquis/towncar and mark 7 with non-HO engines
If none of those shift governors work for you, TransGo makes a Hi-speed governor kit, you get the choice of 5400-5900 rpm shift speed or 6400-6800 RPM --TransGo AOD: AOD-HIREV
You also want look closely in the valve body at the Boost valve;
1) make sure its installed properly/inserted all the way and the retainer clip is on the last groove. If the boost valve is not install properly it will cause symptoms similar to what you describe.
2) the boost valve wear and cause pressure leaks, Sonnax has several kits available to replace the valve, one is a stock boost ratio with o-rings, the other is a larger than stock boost ratio which works well with higher HP applications.
Boost Valve Kit - 76990-04K - Sonnax
You also want to talk to Dan Gilsdorf - AKA silverfox. He is an AOD master builder, a site moderator on Click Click Racing - Click Click Racing and builds custom transmissions and valve bodies for the AOD/4R70W

Nothing yet, I figured out the kickdown better. It's working okay now. But up shifting is still a little bit early. All the shifts are long flaring sliding shifts under moderate-heavy throttle. So that's my biggest concern right now.
I took it back to the shop and they said they could look at it, but it would take a few days and leaving my truck there. I don't leave my truck anywhere that I'm not around, or if anyone else Is going to operate it. So I told them I would keep it and when they got an open time slot that I would be down. That was a week ago.
I'm gonna go back and say either they get it in and get it fixed or give me my money back so I can go somewhere else.
