I've go the lift kit blews. (Help needed)

I ordered a complete 4 lift kit and I am to the point where I have installed the Deavers and am trying to mount the shocks. The shocks that came off the truck are 2.0 inches in diameter just above the eyelet, the new shocks are 2.2 same place.
Here you can see the only way to get the shock to bolt into the lower eyelet is to tilt the driveline up 1/2 inch or more. That brings the lower shock mount up just enough to put the bolt through but not enough to keep the shock body from rubbing the mount. There was block under the stock springs, it was 1 inch at both the front of the block and the back of it as well. Stock axle and springs came off.

I called the company I bought the kit from and they really don't want to help me at all.

My questions are am I missing something in the kit? Should I shim the springs with a wedge type block? Should I have the lower shock mounts cut off and moved?
I really thought this stuff was more plug and play....

I'm at a total loss.........

Are you sure the leaf springs are oriented correctly? By the looks of it it needs to swapped end for end.

Do the deavers delete the stock lift blocks? Are they supposed to???

HIO, that is a great thought. I checked with Deaver and they said double wrap forward and luckily that's how I mounted them.

Bud, I wish "just......." was in my capabilities. I can cut up or cut off but I'd have to use JB weld or drywall mud to put them back on. :-)

The blocks I took out are not tapered. They are 1 inch for and aft.

You should be basing the need for shims off of the pinion angle. What is your pinion angle? If you have to weld up new shock mounts so be it.

Judging by the gap in the spring, I'd bet the factory bock is supposed to be there.

Not sure of angle, I had to play taxi driver for the evening. I don't mind moving the mounts but there was no mention of moving the mounts in the sparse instructions. My old shocks mount with everything mounted tight, that's why I'm at a loss.

HIO, sorry I really can't tell you, idk. I know the blocks that were under the factory springs were from Vatozone according to the PO. Besides since those blocks are 1 inch tall at each end and they won't change the shock mount angle.

That gap in the photo is from me loosening the u-bolts to get the shock bolt in place.
It had a block under the factory leafs but that block won't help because it's 1 inch at the front of the block and the back.

But you say the block you have is from autozone! So I'm assuming you don't have the factory blocks.

Are your shocks based on the length you added in you 4" lift?

Also, you gotta bolt them springs down and measure your pinion angle. Then you'll know if you need to move the shock mounts, or put shims in first.

I don't have the factory blocks. What do factory blocks look like?

Shocks are new based on the 4 inch lift and came with the kit. If I don't have to work tomorrow, I'll measure the angle.
