Riffraff's HPOP Spacer

Hey fellas,
It's been awhile since I've posted but I've got a tech weekend coming up and I can't seem to find an install write-up on Clay's large capacity HPOP spacer.

I have a few questions about it;
1. What are the torque specs for the new bolts Clay supplies?
2. I know the spacer sits under the reservoir, but what all needs to be done to pull the reservoir?

Thanks in advance. I'm sure I'll have a couple more questions.

The reservoir comes right off of the cover simply by removing the hex head bolts from the top. The Torx screws can stay in it, and the lid can stay on.

That I knew. I'll pop the cap off haha.

I'll be doing a JR, full driven fuel system, and the spacer in May. Looking forward to it!

The one thing I didn't know was that it only fits with a fuel bowl delete.... I pictured the install completely different..... I screwed up.

But, I will be doing a Honey Badger JR, fuel bowl delete (a complete driven diesel fuel system, installing their regulated return next month) and the spacer in May.

Trans work in February.

I've got a parts schedule.... But now I've gotta rearrange it.... It is what it is. So a turbo rebuild will take the spacers place.

I thought you could use this with the fuel bowl? I was going to put dual HPOP's on with this and use the stock fuel bowl, am I wrong?

You can, but the fuel bowl needs to be adjusted from the OEM position and the fuel lines need to be lengthened, IIRC from what Clay told me at the GTG at Andy's a couple months ago.

If you remember the PM swap you and I had, I described this already when I said us California guys can't do the fuel bowl delete.

Stewart

Why in the world would cali care if your fuel bowl is deleted? Holy hell!!!

Just set it in there for inspection! LOL

Mine fit great, but I have not had a fuel bowl in 5-6 years.

For the same reason fuel regulators, fuel line cross-overs, or fuel system modifications period can't be done unless they have a CARB cert.

It's not just the fuel system either. California smog is a joke.

Sorry Stewart, I remember the PM, I forgot the part about fuel lines etc., when I posted this. I haven't talked to Clay yet or I would of remembered. What a pain it becomes in California.

I think they should build a wall around cali, all the way up about 30 miles past Sacramento... Build the wall first mind you... Then throw out notice to everyone below the wall... You have 2 weeks to move, or you become part of Mexico.

Let them deal with that cesspool.
