STC fitting/OASIS report question

I have an '06 with 105K miles built in 04/06 that I bought last December. I have a question about one of the items listed in the oasis report.

I've searched the site for TSB 061706A and couldn't find anything.

This work was done on 08/2006.

Complaint: N27-Check engine for tingling noise when decelerating after engine gets hot.

Correction: Ck and replace quick disconnect fittings and install bracket for high pressure oil pump per TSB 061706A.

Does that mean that the updated STC fitting is installed?

Thanks,
Mike

I would say yes but the one they installed then is not the latest correction. I believe the original fix was still the same disconnect fitting but with a bracket to help hold it together and flex less. Which is the one they did on yours in 2006 and the one I just replaced on my 2005. They make another one now that is superior to the one they did then.

The OASIS shows the STC bracket was intalled.

The updated STC fitting didn't debut until 2008.

Thanks for the replies and the reference. I was hoping I had the latest and greatest already. Guess not. At least according to my report.

Thanks,
Mike

If you ever have the bracket removed and the new fitting installed, I would like to buy the bracket off of you.

Personally, I think the bracket worked pretty well. I wouldn't change it just to be doing so.

Good to know. I haven't had any start issues. I just hear often that is is recommended to upgrade and saw that issue on my oasis report.
