Long time since there has been an update, but my Uncle ran out of money for this project of my Grandpa's/Uncles truck. So my uncle in his trading ways traded a side of beef for a 2wd 76 Explorer powder blue... He let me know, and I immediately bought the hood which matched my 79 powder blue F250 4x4 Explorer..

Then I am in the works to sell the bed off his Explorer to a fellow Missouri FTE member.

With this sale and other stuff I may buy off of him, he will be able to finish his / Grandpa's truck...

He has told me that I can have all the parts he did not use from Grandpa's truck....nothing really usable, but my Grandpa's terrible tailgate will hang on my wall in the garage for good. So that I am excited about. Hope to get some usable interior stuff, but hot sure what he has that he will let me have....

I would have bought the bed off that truck too, but I'm working on finishing Bandit, and getting my Explorer moving on its own before I get more big parts. Besides, I'm not sure if my bed on Ol Big Red is that bad....heck it won't feel so bad to put a bed side tool box on Ol big Red that way..

New development in my herd of trucks.... This was my Grandpa's 79 F150 4x4 that he had at the end of his life, just a project really, not his ever day driver even though it ran well.

For those of you that don't know the story...

My Uncle took the body off my Grandpa's truck he had when he passed. 79 F150 Custom 4x4. I think it was an old forestry truck at one point... I had given my Uncle some contacts for doors and body parts to the guy we know in Hollister. Little did I know my Uncle sold the Chassis to him...urgg. I was at Alan's one day and saw a Chassis with full time four wheel drive which to me I guess is rare. Alan told me he got it from Hollister guy... Anyway about a year later I'm talking to my Uncle and find out he sold the Chassis to Hollister guy....2+2 was starting to add up so I called Alan to verify the full time 4x4. So I do have my Grandpa's Chassis thanks to Alan and RC for bringing it over today while I was at work.
