Hello everyone I was wondering if anybody has encountered an out of the blue high idle I was driving to go fishing this morning stopped to get my coffee when I started backing up out of parking lot I noticed I was going about 15mph without hitting the gas and I was at normal operating temperature I have an edge evolution programmer and it shows no bad codes I'm wondering what can be the cause of this high idle thanks in advance

 

I had a ranger did the same thing when the TPS was going bad.

 

It figures I'm close to selling this truck to get a newer one.

 

Well I figured out the cause of my high idle my alternator went bad the light came on on way home from work it threw a code po622 which is generator terminal circuit code replaced it and cleaned throttle plate while I had it apart and she runs smooth again with no idling issues the job is relatively simple the only bad part is how much those dang things cost
