Cruise control and turn signals wont work!
I just bought a 97 Powerstoke 5-speed and the turn signals and cruise control don't work. The indicator arrows for the turn signals don't turn on, there is no clicking noise when you try to use the turn signals, and the turn signal lever doesn't return to the neutral position after you turn. I checked all the lights on the truck and the brake light on the top of the rear of the cab doesn't work and the bulb for the low beams on the drivers side is out.
- Will those two lights have anything to do with it?
- Are there any fuses or switches that I can check that will narrow it down to what I need to replace?
- Any other advice?
The previous owner replaced the steering column right before I bought it cause the lower bearing went out. I'm thinking that maybe he didn't connect something while putting it back.

The turn signal switch is called a "Multi Function Switch" and possibly the previous owner did not plug it in while having the column apart. Get the turn signals working first before working on other issues. I'm assuming your brake lights are working.

flasher switch can stick sometimes, not on but not all the way off. cycle that switch several times than check turn signals and cruise!
mine did this last week it might have been the first time I have used the flashers. after turning them off the cruise wouldn't work and no turn signals. I cycled the switch several times and all was fine.
