1959? F-250 firetruck/pickup

I have a 1959 F-250 4x4 cab and chassis, with a home built firetruck body on it. I am in N.E. Wisconsin. I was going to restore this truck, but I have decided to go with something else. I want the truck to go to someone who is trying to keep some of these alive. It has a clean title. It has typical amount of rust for Wisconsin, but still very restorable. I will be posting some pictures in the next few days.

The VIN is F25COK53994
118 M 253 17F AB 04
7400 146 3800 2938

Odometer reads 36806 miles. As far as I Know, it was converted to a firetruck in the early 70's, so I think the mileage is actual. I drove it home about 3 years ago and it got here fine. The four wheel drive, clutch and brakes were all working at the time. I have had it running a few times since then, but didn't move it around because of a flat tire.
If anyone is interested, I would like to find a new home for it within the next month or so. Please pm me for more information.

Bill, thanks for your reply. I have attached a picture of the data tag showing the "AB" code. Maybe it is abnormal?!

No AB TRANS code is listed in the 1957/63 truck parts catalog. A by itself is a 3 speed manual, B by itself is the Warner 3 speed manual with Overdrive. Overdrive only available in F100's (2WD).

This truck was originally a Domestic Special Order, which means that something "special" was installed by FoMoCo that was not an RPO (Regular Production Order).

But, since FoMoCo THREW AWAY all the records for these trucks decades ago, there is no way to find out what was "special."
