Close call this morning in the Mustang. A passing lane on the highway opened up and right as we began to accelerate in a rapid fashion I saw a quick flash of blue and red in the rear view from a State trooper. Thankfully he hadn't quite finished his donut yet or else we would've wound up with a ticket! "Oh no you don't, Mustang!" he was thinking.

Also, it's very strange being in a room with 300 people open carrying. That stuff does NOT happen back home. I'm really honing my concealed draw and double fire though. I'm feeling more confident as I go. It helps a lot that the guy I've been paired with already knows what he's doing so I feel like I'm getting more of a one-on-one instruction. So far, I'm loving this Front Sight thing. Would recommend.

Those blue & red have low tolerance for out of state plates speeding. You'll never know where there setup or right in you face by a speed limit sign entering a small town.

I'm sure.

CHP didn't seem to care about me doing 70 though. I passed 2 or 3 doing 70mph with the loaded trailer and they didn't bat an eye.

Do they even enforce the 55 rule?

Why would the Mustang have out of state plates?

The big trucks have to follow the 55 rule, but I thought all pick up trucks and motor homes could do the higher speed limit.

Have fun in vegas trozei

Only when they want to it seems as, I seen 18 wheeler doing 70 through San Jose Freewys and did not bother them.

But if it's the CHP in the pickup truck he does an inspection and write them up and die lines there truck.

I saw it has ca plates I guess i figured it would have silver state plates since he got it nv. I guess it could have plates from about anywhere being from a rental company.

As if you were able to rent that! When I flew into Phoenix two years ago, the BEST I could get was a 6 cyl, auto, convertible Mustang. I told the rental guy I was driving to Yuma, and maybe take a spin into Mexico. He actually said, "Not with this car you're not, if you drive this car into Mexico, you'll be lucky if you walk back." Sooooo, when we got to Yuma to meet my aunt, we took her Tracker across the border.

Hey Tro, what was it like the first time you went to a gas station? I don't usually carry cash, so I had to leave my credit card with the clerk before I could pump gas!
