If you used anything like that type of stuff then yes, I understand your ez startup Baja.
I recommend that foaming marine store stuff to anyone who going to let an engine sit in the cold garages until spring/summer.

Each time I go North, to the "Land of Plenty", I put StaBil in all the vehicles, even though, we do not have any ethanol in our Mexican fuel. Deo Gracias... Still, gas ages, and tar&gum build up in a carb in as little as 3 months. In 1984, I parked my old rig, in my barn, and left for 13 years. It took a bit of cranking with a new battery, but it fired up on that old gas, with 5 gal of new added. Smoke filled my barn, but it ran. Now I treat the old rig a lot better. Perhaps, I was born to retire, and take better care of my stuff... Must be a lesson in there somewhere..??

Update! Woo. So I got fed up with working the same hours as the machine shop was open, so I sent my dad down to go pick it up for me. It costed a whopping $30! Which was a happy surprise. The big name shop around town would charge $100.
I completely forgot how grey cast iron is. I'm so used to the brownish colour.

Tro, the guy who came over and painted my motor for me, is the owner of the local body shop, and has about 40 years experience in paint... He bought the paint, (Ford Blue), in an industrial paint supplier, and sprayed 3 coats on my motor. I only mention this, as he put on a coat, waited about 10 or 15 minutes, coated it again, and after another wait, he did the 3rd coat. He said that the short wait period was important, as it allows the paint time to 'Tac up', for good adhesion for the 2nd & 3rd coats. I had no idea that this was the pro painters way, but it worked really well... Obviously, I am not a pro painter...nor a chemist, but will go with the pro...
