I don't want to let the project sit around.

I've found a company that does custom aftermarket gauges. I'll likely send my gauge bezel to them and have them fit me up some gauges.

For one, that's for a dentside. For two, I don't like digital gauges. That, and while I love modernization, I don't like things that look out of place. This is what I'm going for.

I got a call back from Alberta. I have a feeling that in about a month I'll have a new job. No guarantees yet though.

That's not the layout I'm going for. My layout will mimic the F600 as much as possible, pictured below. I'll have a tach, speedo, oil temp, coolant temp, oil pressure, volt gauge, and of course fuel.

I have the same instrument cluster that I'll be putting in my Merc. If you don't mind could you post your source for the new gauges. Also, what is the large gauge on the right, a vacuum gauge?

The large gauge on the right is vacuum, yes. Where I'm getting my gauges from is New Vintage USA. Send them a gauge bezel and they'll return it with gauges, 100% custom to your specifications. Pretty cool. Made in USA.

Thanks for the info. I'll keep them in mind when I re-do my instrument cluster this winter.

What I'll do though is I'll weld in a flat backing plate for all the gauges, send it in, and they'll just have to cut holes and add gauges. It'll make their lives easier than having to fab me a backing plate.

Well if you don't like the DigiDash from Dakota, they sell a bunch of other gauges / clusters, for all other makes, models & years of fords!

Picked up a 2004 F150 FX4 today. Just passed my physical and drug tests. Should be on the way to Alberta soon enough.

Nice truck tro! I've always been a fan of that dark silver/charcoal color.

When I get out of school I want to go the the oil fields in North Dakota.

Hey troz sure hope you don't have any of the spark plug thread or breaking off problems plugs that ford has had for a number of their engines..
