They did a 300 6 build on Powerblock TV (A Buildup of Ford's Classic Inline Six | Horsepower | PowerBlockTV - Full Episodes) was very good and provided a lot of tips too.

Small update. I went to my neighbour who owns a painting company and I managed to get hired. Hopefully I can get some full time hours in but I'll be okay with part time. I wish the price of oil would go back up. Until that happens, I won't get the call from Alberta to head back out to the gas patch.
I got my 240 connecting rods in yesterday. They're remanufactured but I checked the specs and none of them seem to have been bored out, which is perfect. They're going to be getting ARP studs. I'm currently waiting on Probe to get back to me. They sell pistons in sets of eight from retailers but I'm obviously only interested in six. I don't want to waste money on two forged steel paperweights. Tomorrow's the beginning of the work week so hopefully I get an email back from them.
I'm also still waiting on my exhaust valves from SI, but like I said I do have their intake valves already. I took some comparison pictures. The small valve is a factory intake valve for a 300 from a junkyard head I pulled, and the one on the right is the SI valve. Chevy width in a Ford length.
When I get my exhaust valves and pistons in, it'll be a trip to the machine shop.
I've also made the decision that I won't be using a carburetor. (I type this expecting Jeff to silently cry) I'll be buying a throttle body fuel injection setup. I'll likely go with the Holley but I haven't decided yet for sure.

I would love to build the same engine to
go with a 5 speed in my Bronk. But will
prolly put a 5 speed behind the 351W HO
that's there. Unless it takes a dump. She is tired
and I ain't a gentleman to her. I make her work.
She seems to like it. I am so glad for the 32
gallon tank. Until fill up time. And that's pretty
much when ever I go to town twice. A bit thirsty
she is. But she goes before the Civic cuz I
love driving her until near the end of the month
when funds are low and 35 MPG works much
better than 9.5.

Tro Bro,
You are the real deal, and I am with Jeff on this one ( and most others), in wishing that more young'ns were into twisting wrenches, than whatever they are doing indoors. Your ideas, and gumption, suit you well, keep at it, and someday, you will be giving this same advice to some other young gear head, coming up in the world of Ford trucks... You get her done, and keep on posting here..
