Interchangable parts for 1963 F600
There's seems to be a demarcation between models at around 63-65. I have a '63 that needs work. When I start learning how to rummage thru the salvage yards or get parts online, is there anything I should or can know about what stuff I might be able to use from other years. i.e., if I find a part on a '64, can I figure that it will work on my '63. I'll be mostly working on brakes, front axle, looking for one piece wheels/tires at this point.
I know generally comparing part for part can work. But, I'm trying to avoid buying something, then, finding out there is some little thing that prevents me from using it (like wheels that are hub centered or lug centered.)

From what you're saying, I'm getting this. Stud pilot centers the wheel by studs, Hub pilot centers the wheel by the raised lugs on the hub, and Spiders are where the wheel is more of a rim that bolts on to spokes of the hub like tractor rims. I have the hub pilots, then. Good info.
GVW is 19,500.
I've seen info about 22.5's before. Is going with 22.5's a common recommendation to solve tire replacement problems? Not sure about how that would be accomplished ... as in ... replacing the stock hubs on the axle we have with more useable ones ... if different hubs would fit.
Kingpins are shot. So, I'm wrestling with the idea of rummaging thru the salvage yards and maybe finding a whole axle assembly that might have better equipment on it ... rather than trying to repair the current one (with the harder-to-deal-with parts.) I'm thinking any axle in the up-to-1964 range should basically bolt right back on the leaf springs.
we are in the process of finding tires and wheels for the front (8.25 x 20, split rims ... and, no, nobody around here wants to touch them) and if I'm not too late, this may be something to look into.
